Trip Description
This 6-day mountain bike safari is an interesting one for those that love to combine watching wildlife with beautiful mountain landscapes, you will explore Lake Victoria the largest water body in East Africa with different islands on the bicycle. You will also discover Lake Mburo and Queen Elizabeth National Park for great biking and savannah adventure safari. You will take part in a game drive and boat cruise. You will be riding your bikes while encountering wildlife like zebras, waterbucks, warthogs, Ugandan kobs and so many more in Lake Mburo National Park. This cycling adventure will end with a game safari and boat safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park which is one of Uganda’s largest national parks with a high biodiversity range.

DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 1: RIDE ACROSS LAKE VICTORIA (30KM+)
You will be picked up from the hotel after your breakfast and you will be transferred to the meeting point. You get to explore Lake Victoria Peninsula and get an insight into the lives of the people that live here, the green scenery, and the fresh and cool breezes from Lake Victoria, all on the comfort of your bike. Crossing the lake in a local boat to the landing site which is the starting point. Not to take away from the views of the Lake, but this is where the real thrilling adventure starts, and for the next 3-4 hours, we cover about 30 km exploring the breathtakingly beautiful Lake Victoria Peninsula through single-track dirt roads. There is always plenty of opportunities in between to catch a breath, grab a bite or simply take a selfie.

DAY 2: TRANSFER TO LAKE MBURO AND AFTERNOON RIDE (25KM+)
You will embark on a morning transfer to Lake Mburo National Park in Western Uganda which is known to be the nearest national park to Kampala, the capital city of Uganda. This route offers you a great opportunity to have a stopover at the Equator, which not only serves as a great spot for photos but an opportunity for a quick stretch. After some afternoon refreshments and check-ins, we explore this wild land on two wheels. The afternoon ride on the borders of the park while viewing some of the fascinating wildlife like zebras, Ugandan kobs, and hard-to-miss warthogs is an experience like no other.

DAY 3: RIDE INSIDE THE PARK AND A NIGHT GAME SAFARI (30KM+)
Be served with morning breakfast and then begin the day with biking inside the park where you will encounter different wildlife such as impala, warthog, buffalos, zebras, and much more. There will be a great sight of the beautiful scenery of endless plains, some are covered with lakes and much more. In the evening, you will have a night game drive that focuses on finding leopards but you will also spot other animals like impala, warthogs, zebras, buffalos, eland, and much more. The night game drive will begin at around 06:30 hours and it will last for 3 hours.

DAY 4: ANOTHER RIDE AND TRANSFER TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK (35KM+)
Take another bike ride around the park to explore more of the beautiful lake Mburo National Park and then embark on a journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park which was previously called Kazinga Channel national park. It is also known to host the rare tree-climbing lions in the Ishasha sector. The road trip is amazing since you will enjoy the endless plains of the savannahs, with animals like buffalos, elephants, warthogs, antelopes, and much more. You will have fun at the lodge located in the park and this will create everlasting memories as you watch over the elephants passing in your lodge room.

DAY 5: GAME SAFARI AND BOAT SAFARI
The game drive will commence early in the morning immediately after breakfast and this will enable you to watch different wild animals such as elephants, leopards, spotted hyenas, buffalos, water bucks, lions, Uganda kobs, and much more. This experience will last for about 3 hours and then a lunch break will follow. Immediately after lunch, you will proceed to the Kazinga channel for an afternoon boat cruise which will last for 2 to 3 hours. Here, you will encounter different water-loving animals and birds such as hippos, crocodiles, and egrets, the antelope buffalos, elephants, and warthogs will be quenching their thirst at the banks.

DAY 6: TRANSFER BACK TO KAMPALA
Leave Queen Elizabeth National Park in the morning and head to Kampala passing via the Fort Portal area covered with tea estates, forests, and the Rwenzori Mountain ranges. A stopover in either Fort Portal or somewhere for lunch will create everlasting memories. Proceed to Kampala and be dropped off at either the airport or the hotel.
